The Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Texas is looking for a qualified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitionercandidate to join the Division of Rheumatologywithin the Department of Internal Medicine. A full-time, state employed position is available at the faculty Instructor level in Rheumatology. The candidate should be skilled in the practice of providing a full spectrum of Rheumatoid Arthritis Early Diagnosis, OsteoporosisScreening, including experience in infusions of biologic medications and the operations of an infusion clinic. The candidate must possess strong clinical and communications skills. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus. Primary duties include clinical practice at the Patient Care Center on the UNTHSC campus and various home health centers. This candidate will have the opportunity to build a practice, operate and develop a profitable infusion center with another RN and deliver care to geriatric patients when needed. She/he will be responsible for developing most of the processes and schedules within the clinic. Some of the business will need to be generated at first, but this ultimately will be an autonomous position with leadership from the Chairman of Internal Medicine (Dr. Darrin D’Agostino) and Chief of Rheumatology (Dr. Rahul Patel). We currently have 4 full time Rheumatologists. This candidate needs an entrepreneurial spirit, experience in managing others, Internal Medicine, running lines and see clinical care as a priority.
