X-Ray Technician

Our Payer Services Division meets the evaluation and screening needs of Carriers, TPAs, Public Entities and Employers and includes behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services, working with a wide range of organizations within the workers' compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets. Our Clinical Research Division performs all types of Phase II-IV clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas through a flexible nationwide network of site locations and virtual capabilities.

The IMA Group is seeking to hire an experienced and highly motivated X-Ray Technologist (NCT) with Medical Assistant certification for our Houston offices. Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. Experience with EKGs, Vital signs, Pulmonary Function Testing, Venipuncture and Computers including internet, email and Word is preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.

Specific duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to

• Phlebotomist.
• Proficient with ancillary testing procedures such as Pulmonary Function Test, Doppler, GXT, EKG, assist doctor as needed.
• Prepare claimant for and take x-ray film as appointments dictate.
• Review film with medical doctor if necessary.
• Send to radiologist for review and report preparation.
• Store X-ray film as it is returned to the clinic by the radiologist.
• Prepare daily, weekly and month-end reports for submission to corporate.
• Order X-rays supplies as needed.
• Keep X-ray room neat and orderly and ready for inspections by government officials.
• Keep constant awareness of the days X-ray as well as internist schedule to maintain efficient operation.
• Ability to work with difficult claimants utilizing calmness, consideration and respect.
• Assist the doctor in any way asked, keeping in mind IMA procedures.
• If not assigned to another medical assistant, do month-end reports for both medical assistant and X-ray technology such as the Banyan kit report and make sure reports are scanned and emailed to the appropriate people.

EDUCATION-

Required- Formal medical assistant training and formal NCT training
Preferred- Associates Degree and necessary NCT licensure
Continuing Education- Continuing education units (CEUs) as required by the state or any other government agency

EXPERIENCE-
Required- One year medical assistance experience with equivalent NCT experience
Preferred- Two years medical assistance experience with equivalent NCT experience, bilingual
