Inpatient Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist Bookmark and Share
 

Apogee Physicians is looking for Nurse Practitioners who want to become inpatient experts.  As a Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist for Apogee Physicians, you will exam and treat patients in collaboration with Apogee physicians.

Apogee Physicians works in close partnership with the staff at St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County, a 66-bed hospital. St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County has celebrated more than 50 years of service to the community with improved capabilities.

St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County continues to be make advancements and receive recognition for these efforts. The hospital was honored with the National Benchmarks Award on the 2008 Thomson Reuters list of 100 Top Hospitals. St. Mary’s Medical Center of Campbell County was selected as one of only 23 facilities in the nation to receive the inaugural Everest Award from Thomson Reuters. The Thomson Reuters 100 Top Hospital’s Everest Award recognizes hospital leaders who have developed and executed strategies that drove the highest rate of long-term improvements during the past five years.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Patient admissions; completing patient progress notes, patient education, prescribing medications, ordering diagnostic tests, recommending therapeutic interventions and patient discharge summaries.

General requirements for Apogee Nurse Practitioners:

  • Current state RN and Nurse Practitioner license
  • Master’s degree
  • Current BLS, ACLS prescriptive authority
  • Minimum of two years of Nurse Practitioner experience in internal medicine preferred

Position offers a 7 on/7 off schedule.  Salary is $100k

All Nurse Practitioners will attend a two-day course held in Phoenix, AZ that includes a core curriculum based on the Apogee Promise of Safety, Quality, Service and Value.
