thriving rural healthcare practice.
Oakes Community Hospital, (http://www.oakeshospital.com/) is currently recruiting for a Family Practice Physician. The hospital recently opened a new campus in 2007 and currently has 5 physicians on staff. Oakes Community Hospital, located in Oakes, North Dakota, is a 20-bed, Critical Access Hospital with a Level IV Trauma Center.
There is a verifiable need for two additional physicians in the community and a busy practice will be available starting day one. This is a lucrative opportunity in an area with a great need for Primary Care Physicians. It is a wonderful place to raise a family while enjoying a growing and successful practice. The physicians rotate as needed in the Emergency Room and call is 1:5.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Graduate of a US Medical School
• MD or DO, Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated persuasive clinical leadership
• Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
• Ability to work as member of team

Oakes is located 250 miles from Minneapolis and 125 miles from Fargo. The community has over 10 places of worship, a local golf club, 2 scenic-by-ways, a pristine lake and an expansive state park.
The Oakes Public School system offers a well-rounded academic curriculum, extra-curricular education and vocational technical education through the fully accredited public school system. The Southeast Region Career and Technology Center provides a variety of vocational technical education programs for youth and adults in Oakes and the surrounding communities. Higher education programs are offered within a short commute of the Oakes area.

Compensation:
The compensation for this position is an annual salary of $185,000.00 - $210,000. The position includes a generous relocation package and a sign on bonus up to $25,000.00 or $150,000 in Student Loan Assistance. A robust benefits and retirement package are included.
