Full Time: 40 hours, 2 Positions. Weekend/Off Shift/Holiday rotation required. B9ICU: Cardiac Surgery ICU.

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program. Current CT PA/APRN license. Federal DEA, and CT Controlled Substance Registration. Critical Care/and or Cardiac Surgery experience preferred. ACLS preferred. Demonstrated ability to positively interact with physicians/nursing staff and other members of multidisciplinary team. Willingness to learn and demonstrate proficiency in invasive procedures.

Position Summary: Provides direct clinical management of primarily Cardiac Surgery Patients including Cardiac Transplant and Patients on Ventricular Assist devices, as well as other critical care patients across the service continuum (ICU/SDU). Collaborative model of care with attending physician, intensivist and other members of HCT. Includes coverage of cardiac surgery telemetry unit and other surgical critical care units as service needs dictate.
