TheDepartmentof Neurological Surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center and the University ofMassachusetts Medical Schoolisactively recruiting aboard-certifiedacademic neurosurgeon with fellowship training and/or experience in complex spine surgery, especially spinal deformity surgery and minimally invasive spine surgery. This individual will serve as the Director of Spine Surgery for the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Massachusetts medical School and UMass Memorial Health
The UMass Spine Center is a multidisciplinary program that is enjoying rapid growth.There is a clinical demand for additional Neurosurgery faculty withparticularexpertisein the management of complex spinal disorders. Experienceinspinal reconstruction surgery, spine traumaorminimallyinvasivespinal surgeryis desired.This position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching,researchand clinical practice.Clinical or translational research interests are encouraged andwill beaggressively supported.The academic rank will be commensurate with expertise and training.We offer highly competitive compensation and excellent benefits.Applicants must be board certified in neurological surgery.
