Job Description:
The Financial Account Advisor is responsible for managing work queues to prevent accounts from being overdue within the identified time frame. Manage and work special reports to ensure accuracy and resolution on accounts within the identified time frame. Knowledgeable and proficient in updating insurance on accounts to ensure claim accuracy. Knowledge of revenue cycle and active advancement of accounts to reach hospital system cash goal. Responsible for assisting with patient communication as needed. Education:
• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience:
• Preferred: Medical billing and claims processing experience; familiarity with insurance industry and collection processes.
Skills:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Proficient Computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and have attention to detail
