Job summary:

The Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) will provide medical services for clients of Set Free under the clinical supervision of their primary or alternate collaborative physicians. This position is a hybrid position that will provide in-person and telehealth services.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Active Alaska ANP Licensure and collaborative plan
  • Bachelor of Science Degree with appliable National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Certification
  • Current DEA registration


Preferred:

  • Two years of experience providing care in the addiction medicine administration

  • Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Punctuality and consist reliability in reporting to work
  • Understanding of being trauma informed and awareness of cultural differences
  • The ability to:
    • Lead a team of professional staff
    • Represent the mission and values of Set Free Alaska to the staff and community
    • Make leadership decisions within the scope of responsibilities as set forth in Set Free Alaska's policies and procedures
    • Build rapport with clients and staff while maintaining professional boundaries

    • Manage situations that cause intense distress and work to ensure the safety and well-being of themselves and other staff
  • Proficient computer skills and fluid use of electronic communication tools



Job responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily operations of the medical clinic at Set Free Alaska in accordance with the agencies policies and procedures
  • Provide outpatient addiction medicine services including, but not limited to:
    • Initial consultations (admissions) and follow-up visits
    • Screening for medical stability as it pertains to client residential admissions
    • Weekly clinic at serviced facilities
    • Initial visits for crisis residential clients performed on-call daily
    • Collaboration with nursing staff to coordinate medication self-administration
    • Administration of urine testing, PPD testing and administration of prescribed medication by intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal injection
  • Write, and/or, order rx treatments for appropriate client care
  • Coordination of outside medical and ancillary health care service consultations for clients as necessary
  • Finalization of Residential clients clearance process
  • Managing office responsibilities including, but not limited to:
    • Being on-call to reply to prescription refill requests, address urgent patient calls, manage urgent test results and answer after hours calls
    • Maintain medical supplies inventory including procurement of all necessary medical supplies and medications
  • Attend relevant meetings to ensure the clients care is coordinated accurately
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of medical services to comply with overseeing state or federal guidelines. Additional reports and request may be made from the management
  • Coordinate all aspects of financial procedures of the medical clinic in accordance with agencies policy and procedures and assure the proper and prudent expenditures of all funds as the manager of the facility budget
