Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Critical Care Unit

Broad Function:

Advanced practice providers practice primarily as direct health care providers. They work with patients and their families to coordinate the delivery of the patient's care throughout the hospitalization. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to: obtaining health histories and performing physical examinations, ordering appropriate diagnostic tests and treatment regimens, providing patient, family, nursing staff education and being available for consultations and crisis intervention. They work closely with the patient/significant others/families, physicians, nurses to develop an appropriate plan of care which is then communicated effectively to the entire interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications:

Must possess current licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider in NYS (PA or NP). Two (2) to four (4) years of acute care experience preferred. Must possess demonstrated effective communication skills both written and verbal. Must Possess current CPR and ACLS Certification.

Full-time, Exempt

Salary: $110,000-$135,000
