The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (https://engineering.unl.edu/chme/) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in chemical engineering at the rank of Assistant Professor.
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering has an outstanding infrastructure for conducting research. Additionally, several central research facilities exist at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln ( UNL ), such as the Nebraska Center for Materials and Nanoscience, the Nebraska Nanoengineering Research Facility, the Holland Computing Center, and the Biological Process Development Facility. There are many opportunities for collaboration across campus, including the University of Nebraska Medical Center; the Center for Brain, Biology, and Behavior; Innovation Campus; and other state and federally-funded research centers and programs. The faculty of the department are funded by a variety of state and federal funding agencies, including NSF , DOE , and NIH . In addition, the recent highly prestigious early-career awards, including NSF CAREER , DOE Early Career, and NIH R35 MIRA , show the increasing strength of the department's research program.

Minimum Required Qualifications
- A B.S. in chemical engineering or a related engineering discipline and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a related field at the time of appointment.
- A record of strong scholarly achievement.
- A demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education.
- The potential to establish a strong externally-funded research program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Research areas of particular interest include advanced manufacturing and artificial intelligence/machine learning applications in chemical engineering.
