In alignment with leadership, internal teams and brand needs, the Associate Director, Biomarkers and Companion Diagnostics, US Medical Affairs Oncology will contribute to development of the US medical diagnostics plan for assigned product(s) and ensure optimal execution of planned activities. In a matrix environment, this role will be responsible for representing US interests and business needs in shaping development and life cycle management strategy. This includes strategic partnerships with the brand and commercial teams, HEOR (Health Economics Outcomes Research), R&D (Research and Development), FMA (Field Medical Affairs), MI&E (Medical Information and Education) and global functions as necessary to create and implement strategies that support launch and post-approval activities. The role will be responsible for advisory activities to obtain feedback; identification and management of key external stakeholders including scientific leaders, payers, and societies; providing US input into global diagnostics strategy, design, and deliverables, including scientific communications and publications; scientific engagement planning and coordination; interpretation of clinical, biomarker and CDx (Companion Diagnostic) data; ensuring consistency of clinical content and scientific statements across materials; training and education of cross-functional internal colleagues; and budget and forecast accuracy.
- Contribute to brand and medical strategic plans and collaborate with medical functions to develop medical diagnostics plan aligned to brand and medical strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and cross-medical stakeholders to ensure execution of medical diagnostics plan aligned to broader medical, brand and global plan.
- Drive diagnostics insights collection through development of field medical diagnostics insight questions, leading advisory council meetings and boards, coordinating external engagement planning, insights reporting, and disseminating insights reports cross-functionally.
- Support evidence generation through collaboration with Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), aligned to medical diagnostics strategies, and providing input on CDx development when requested.
- Lead communication of scientific information through internal and external trainings, development of medical scientific materials, biomarker/diagnostics-related medical information responses, publications, congress communications, and supporting CME and non-CME educational grants aligned to medical diagnostics strategies.
- Accountable for budget management of projects.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)
- Bachelor's Degree required and Advanced degree in relevant science or medicine, such as PhD, MD or PharmD is required
- training or experience in molecular biology and/or diagnostics, including oncology, is preferred.
- Relevant pharmaceutical industry, clinical, and/or academic experience for MD, PhD of 5 to 10 years and/or a minimum of 3 years within a medical strategy role. Proven track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams to achieve goals required
- Familiarity with clinical research in therapeutic area is highly desirable.
- Cross functional corporate experience.
- Ability to triage and handle multiple priorities in an effective manner preferred
