Responsibilities
Under general supervision this position provides medical equipment repair and maintenance performing substantial maintenance safety testing and routine repairs in a healthcare environment. Drives satisfaction through service excellence.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performs significant preventative maintenance/safety tests/calibration for equipment.
- Provides equipment repair throughout responsible area.
- Prioritizes work load effectively with minimal supervision.
- Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished.
- Solves organization level customer service issues and complaints with minimal supervision.
- Assists in the ordering of part and supplies necessary for servicing of equipment.
- Performs cross training to other technicians on acquired skills.
- Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years' experience servicing technical equipment.
Education
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field; OR Equivalent military education; OR graduate of technical program
Language Ability: Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Math Ability: Basic: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability: Basic: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in the standardized situations.
Computer Skills: must be familiar with MS Office Suite and internet based applications.
