BMS NP
The BMS Nurse Practitioner (NP) plays a critical role in delivering specialized healthcare services within the Health Care and Social Assistance industry. This position focuses on providing comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of various medical conditions, with an emphasis on behavioral and mental health. Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the United States.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus on Behavioral/Mental Health or relevant specialty.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral or mental health.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working within integrated healthcare or multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Additional certifications such as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Experience in patient education and community outreach programs.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and quality improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments including physical exams, medical histories, and mental health evaluations.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical and behavioral health conditions.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment adherence.
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and community resources as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices.
