Cardiologist Physicians

Duration: 1 Year to long-term

Shift: Standard 1st shift                                                                    

Job Duties:

• Physician(s) shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government's requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
• Contractor shall provide documents upon request of the CO/COR to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment and/or services performed. Contractor shall provide verifiable evidence of all educational and training experiences including any gaps in educational history for all Contractor's physician(s) and Contractor's physician(s) shall be responsible for abiding by the Facility's Medical Staff By-Laws, rules, and regulations (referenced herein) that govern medical staff behavior.
• Consulting with patients to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
• Prescribing tests, treatments, and/or surgery, when necessary.
• Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests and/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
• Performing tests, when needed, to check the health of patients' hearts and/or cardiovascular systems.
• Interpreting test results to determine how effectively the heart and/or cardiovascular system is functioning.
• Using medical imaging equipment, such as CT and MRI scanners, to diagnose and treat heart and/or cardiovascular conditions.

Requirements:

• Employee shall have a current license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia) when services are performed onsite on VA property.
• Employee shall be Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiovascular Disease American Board of Internal Medicine | An ABMS Member Board and be currently certified in BLS, ACLS or equivalency.
• Should be comfortable with on call requirements.
