Certified Billing & Coding Professional

At Willis Knighton Physician Network, we are dedicated to providing outstanding ambulatory care services with a focus on excellence, compassion, and compliance. We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing and Coding Professional to join our growing team.

Position Summary:

The Ambulatory Billing and Coding Professional is responsible for reviewing, interpreting, and accurately coding medical records and encounter forms for appropriate billing. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations and payer policies and plays a key role in optimizing reimbursement and reducing claim denials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assign accurate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes for ambulatory visits and procedures
• Review provider documentation for completeness and compliance
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of claims to payers
• Investigate and resolve coding-related claim denials and rejections
• Communicate with providers and clinical staff regarding coding issues
• Stay current on coding guidelines, payer rules, and regulatory changes

Qualifications:

• Certification preferred: CPC, CCA, CCS, or equivalent (AAPC or AHIMA)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in ambulatory/outpatient coding preferred but not mandatory
• Strong knowledge of coding systems (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II)
• Proficiency in EHR/EMR and medical billing software
• High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and medical billing compliance
