Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology

Southwoods Health is currently hiring a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work in Gastroenterology at Southwoods Center for Digestive Health & General Surgery in Boardman, Ohio. Under general direction will effectively identify, evaluate, and address the prevention of diseases, while administering quality care for their patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits under GI supervision
• Perform focused physical exams and detailed GI histories
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests and labs
• Collaborate on care plans and make appropriate referrals
• Assist in pre- and post-procedure education and management
• Manage chronic GI conditions such as IBD, GERD, IBS, and liver disease
• Provide support during inpatient consults and follow-ups (if applicable)
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR

Qualifications:

• Licensed and certified as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Ohio
• Experience in GI preferred but not required
• Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• EMR proficiency (Meditech or similar systems)

Full-time. Monday-Friday. No call / limited call. Outpatient clinic with potential inpatient rounding
