Position Summary

We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Butner, NC. This role focuses on direct patient care, safety monitoring, therapeutic support, and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed registered nurse.

This is an excellent opportunity for CNAs with experience in long-term care or hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Assist with ADLs, personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Monitor patient behaviors and respond therapeutically
• Carry out assigned interventions, precautions, and observation levels
• Escort patients throughout the facility and to appointments
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient flow sheets and records
• Communicate changes in patient status to the charge nurse and treatment team

Safety & Therapeutic Environment

• Ensure assigned patients are accounted for at all times
• Recognize and report environmental safety risks
• Support NVCI and CPR interventions per policy
• Assist with patient and belongings searches as required
• Maintain a respectful and culturally sensitive environment
• Provide high-quality customer service to patients, families, and staff

Unit Support & Programming

• Assist nursing staff with group activities and therapeutic programming
• Help patients prepare for appointments and treatments
• Support community outings and leisure activities
• Perform light housekeeping and supply runs as needed
• Participate in shift reports and staff meetings

Requirements

• Active North Carolina CNA License
• BLS Certification (AHA required)
• Experience in LTC preferred
• Strong observation and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Schedule & Shift

• 2nd Shift / Night Shift
• 5x8 schedule
• Rotating weekends and holidays required

Work Setting & Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Lift/carry up to 35–50 lbs
• Prolonged standing and walking
• PPE usage as required
• Ability to safely assist with patient mobility and crisis interventions

Compliance & Credentialing

Candidates must complete:

• Background check
• Drug screen
• TB screening
• Current immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19)
• Current certifications active before start date
