Chaplain

  • Position Summary
    • The Chaplain is a full member of the healthcare team who provides for the pastoral needs of patients, clients, families and staff. Specifically, the chaplain through professional training and certification assists patients, clients and families to understand fully life's events as they relate to their spiritual and emotional well being. From the patients and clients life experience, the Chaplain provides spiritual assessments, and support services.

    • Masters - Required
  • Experience
    • 2 - 3 Years Hospital Chaplain - Preferred
  • License & Certification
    • None Required
  • Core Job Functions
    • Provides pastoral visits to inpatients, outpatients and others as needed and responds promptly to requests, including on call requests. Supports special services and provides one-on-one counseling services as needed. Mass is celebrated, Holy Communion administered, Sacrament of the sick and Sacrament of Reconciliation is administered as requested/needed and baptisms are administered in special situations, if applicable.
    • Document patient visits accurately in data base as needed. Contribute to the monthly report(s) as needed. Assist in additional responsibilities, tasks, duties, etc. as determined necessary by the Director.
