The Chef provides leadership, guidance, and support to foodservice staff while maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, sanitation, inventory control, and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include leading and training staff in menu execution, overseeing kitchen and front-of-house operations, assisting with menu and recipe development, managing schedules, and ensuring adherence to ServeSafe and sanitation standards. This role also includes preparing and serving meals for patients and visitors, maintaining inventory and budgetary controls, understanding therapeutic and modified diets, procuring supplies, and operating commercial kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will foster staff growth and retention while ensuring an exceptional dining experience for patients, customers, and guests.
