Chemist

Our client, a personal care manufacturing company, is looking for a Chemist to join their team! This will be a onsite role working out of their office in Clark. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, over 2 years of experience and background in cosmetics and personal care industry.

• Contract Role: 6 months
• Pay: $25.73/hr on W2

Responsibilities:

• Conduct physicochemical characterizations (e.g., pH, viscosity, rheology, foam behavior) on haircare and cosmetic products following established protocols.
• Maintain full traceability of samples, manage version control, and uphold high standards for documentation and database accuracy.
• Keep detailed stability records, track performance metrics, and proactively flag any anomalies or emerging trends.
• Actively contribute to workflow optimization by suggesting enhancements for testing efficiency, data handling, and equipment usage.
• Exhibit a detail-oriented, autonomous, and cooperative work style with a strong commitment to lab safety, instrument proficiency, and continuous learning.

Required Qualifications:

• Background in cosmetic, personal care, food science, or pharmaceutical laboratory evaluation, with specific expertise in stability studies and physicochemical measurements.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience or a relevant QC/Physical Measurements certification.
• Possesses a strong math and science foundation, applying a methodical, rigorous, and critical thinking approach to laboratory testing and reporting.
• Highly skilled in the Windows environment, with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Excel (data management), PowerPoint (reporting), and Word (documentation/SOPs).
