Clinical Applications Analyst

Responsible for directing the implementation and enhancement of new and existing applications within the organization and assuring integration of those applications, and 3rd party applications, into an interoperable electronic medical record for improved healthcare outcomes.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as Project Coordinator for any new applications or updates to any existing applications on the Hospital Information System.
• Manages the support and maintenance of all assigned applications for the hospital.
• Acts as a liaison between Information Services and other hospital departments
• Serves as data administrator for special performance improvement projects (Clinical Care Maps, Administrative Reports, Process Improvement Teams, etc.).
• Coordinates and assists with application training along with the Education Department.
• Supports assigned hospital departments with the build and maintenance of their clinical documentation requirements and enhancements.
• Responsible for all other duties or projects as assigned by the Chief Information Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educational and/or Professional Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Business, or a Health Care related field required.

Previous Experience:

1. Minimum of three years experience in patient care preferred

Other Special Training/Skills:

1. Outstanding communication and teaching skills are essential.
2. Previous experience in utilizing or supporting the Meditech system is a plus.
