Job DescriptionOPEN POSITION: Physician / Clinical Director - Ketamine Infusion Clinic SCHEDULE: - Full-Time - 40 to 50 Hours per Week - No Evenings, Weekends, or On-Call - Some Flexibility Offered OFFICE HOURS: - Monday, 10:30am to 6:30pm - Tuesday, 8:30am to 6:30pm - Wednesday, 8:30am to 6:30pm - Thursday, 8:30am to 6:30pm - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm COMPENSATION: - $300,000 Annual Base Salary - Option for Partnership - Malpractice Insurance - Health/Dental/Vision Insurance - 5+ Weeks Paid Time Off - HSA - Subsidized Gym Membership - Citibike Membership - Commuter Benefit Program - 401k w/ Employer Contribution ($20k annually) LOCATION: Chelsea, Manhattan, New York COMPANY PROFILE: This outpatient infusion clinic, specializing in using ketamine to treat depression, opened in 2019 and is a thriving, busy private practice. Their providers follow guidelines from the American Psychiatric Association and have established a patient-centered approach to ensure safe and comfortable experiences for all patients. They are a complement to, not a replacement for, existing mental healthcare services. They view ketamine as one pillar in a larger care plan, and rely on continuous dialogue with each patient and their referring provider partners to define how ketamine plays a role in overall wellness. They currently operate three locations throughout New York City, with plans to open additional sites in the near future. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The new provider will be the sole physician in the Chelsea location and will function as the Clinical Director, overseeing infusion nurses and/or nurse practitioners. Between all providers, the clinic runs a total of 15 to 18 infusions per day, which are scheduled as 90-minute appointments, treating depression and the depressive state of bipolar disorder. The duties of the physician include, but are not limited to: - safe, in-office administration of ketamine - patient education - treatment plan management - work with external referral partners - establish trusting relationships with patients - team management and leadership - staff coordination The physician is supported by two infusion nurses or nurse practitioners, and an office administrator. Typical daily workload for the physician is: - running of 3 to 4 infusion appointments - care coordination (email and phone) - oversight of infusion nurses - team management and communication Appointments are scheduled in 90-minute blocks to allow for: - 15 minutes, consultation - 40 minutes, infusion - 20 minutes, recovery - 15 minutes, extra time The practice is an all-digital office and uses the IntakeQ EHR. Many patients are in emotionally vulnerable situations and often nervous about infusion treatments. As such, the practice strives to provide an overall calming environment, using methods such as aromatherapy and soothing lighting. It's important that the communication style and bedside manner of the new physician emulate the desire to calm and soothe patients, while simultaneously showing confidence and reassuring patients of the quality care they're receiving.
