CLINICAL ENGINEERING TECH II
Description
Ensure all equipment is in good working order
Troubleshoot complex medical equipment
Perform preventative maintenance inspections
Use technical skills to reduce the cost of maintaining ventilators, sterilizers, patient monitors, surgical and other medical equipment
Ensure all equipment records are kept accurate and up to date
Prioritize, initiate and complete work orders timely
Ensure all reports are accurate and complete when due
Maintain a parts inventory file on all assigned equipment
Ensure the cost of all jobs are performed at the lowest cost and highest quality
Keep current on JCAHO and other regulatory Standards
Performs all assigned work with a spirit of cooperation
Education/Experience:
Graduate of an accredited technical school, associate degree with major in electronics
Must have at least 4 years of experience servicing medical instrumentation two of which should be in cardiac monitoring/ respiratory therapy/ life support equipment
Must have specialize training in technology aspects of medical instrumentation
Significant knowledge in repair programs, preventive maintenance programs, and other regulatory agency standards and codes
Must have good communication and interpersonal skills
