Clinical Program Manager (Behavioral Health) - Telecommute in New York

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of licensed clinicians in order to deliver sound clinical decisions and quality documentation to customers
  • Working as part of a management team of other managers and directors to meet program goals
  • Preparing reports and analyzing data in order to coach team to meet metrics successfully
  • Identifying trends and interventions as needed in a positive, change oriented environment
  • Managing projects and interventions from inception to completion
  • Ensuring engagement of staff through management of ongoing training, coaching and mentoring

Required Qualifications:

  • Indiependently Licensed Clinician with a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or Marriage or Family Counseling OR Licensed Ph.D / PsyD, or an RN with psychiatric experience
  • Clinical licenses must be active and unrestricted in the state of New York
  • 7+ years of experience in a related mental health environment
  • 5+ years of clinical experience working with children/adolescents
  • Knowledge of New York State child-serving systems
  • 2+ years of experience in a Managed Care Organization (MCO)
  • Previous leadership experience (Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead, etc.)
  • Proficient level of experience with MS Word and Excel, with the ability to type and navigate a Windows environment
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience conducting trainings with staff
  • Dual diagnosis experience with mental health and substance abuse
  • Experience working with the Medicare and Medicaid patient population
  • Experience working in an environment that required coordination of benefits and utilization of multiple groups and resources for patients
  • Experience supervising a remote team
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
