Our Payer Services Division meets the evaluation and screening needs of Carriers, TPAs, Public Entities and Employers and includes behavioral health and physical medicine specialty services, working with a wide range of organizations within the workers' compensation, disability, liability, and auto markets. Our Clinical Research Division performs all types of Phase II-IV clinical trials in multiple therapeutic areas through a flexible nationwide network of site locations and virtual capabilities.
IMA Clinical Research is seeking a motivated professional to join our New York City team as a Patient Recruiter Specialist.
IMA Clinical Research, a division of The IMA Group, is a network that includes sites dedicated to Phase II-IV clinical research across multiple therapeutic area and an extensive array of more than 100 satellite locations providing extensive nationwide patient access. We have a rapidly growing database of over 300,000 patients and the ability to reach millions.
The office is in Midtown Manhattan and is conveniently located between both Times Square and Grand Central stations for quick access to public transportation.
This role is an on-site position with the opportunity to work both remote and on-site - hybrid - after a training period and proven capability to work independently.
The Patient Recruiter Specialist is responsible for recruiting patients for all studies under the direction of the Patient Recruitment Manager. Patient recruiter builds and develops the site's database by identifying and implementing new methods for patient recruitment, contacting all new potential patients, and maintaining contact with all patients in the database.
Starting pay is between $18.50/hour to $24.00/hour plus earned bonus
Bonuses vary depending on the individual study, based on qualified individuals successfully completing their first office visit and again for those who further qualify to enter the study. The amount paid will depend upon each studys budget.
Duties include but are not limited to -
- Responsible for recruiting subjects for all active research studies.
- Must be able to contact patients via telephone using a phone script for phone screening to determine patients’ eligibility for the study.
- Communicate with patients to schedule and reschedule appointments for screening visits.
- Organizes and maintains reports and metrics on recruitment efforts for assigned studies.
- Utilizing proper phone and email etiquette to liaison with potential patients.
- Establish a working relationship with the Clinical Research Team and other personnel.
- Communicate recruitment goals and updates to staff.
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel. Will train in research system – CRIO – and database and call software.
- Possess the ability to work well under pressure, multi-task, and manage deadlines.
- Able to adapt to a changing environment and demonstrates a positive, make it happen attitude.
- Exhibits professionalism in negotiating sensitive issues.
Education and Experience
- Clinical Research or Medical experience preferred, but not required.
- Outbound Call Center or Sales Experience required.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and some medical terminology preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at a time
- High School, GED, required.
