Full time/Part Time, Days/Nights, Shift Length: 12 hours

The Medical Surgical Certified Nursing Assistant position provides clinical and clerical support to the licensed staff.

Job Requirements

A working knowledge of medical terminology.  Knowledge and skills required to provide excellent patient care.  Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

License/Certification:

Current OSBN (Oregon State Board of Nursing) CNA certification required.  CNA2 certification is required, preferably to be obtained within 1 year of hire but no greater than 24 months. Caregiver will work with manager on an appropriate timeframe to achieve this based on class offerings and scheduling.  Current BLS certification required (through American Heart Association).

Education and/or Experience:

Minimum Education: High school graduate or equivalent.  Graduate of a certified Nursing Assistant program.  Minimum Experience:  Acute care facility experience preferred.  Continuing Education:  Must attend required in-services.
