Overview
TSP Europe has been appointed to search for a Commercial Leader to join a U.S. Biotech company and build a European commercial organisation.
The Commercial Leader, Europe is responsible for creating and implementing a regional commercial strategy and growth plan, driving execution through local teams and partner networks. Educate and coach customer-facing teams; provide strategic guidance, domain expertise and application support for enabling success.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all European commercial activities; account management, field marketing, and customer support
- Meet quarterly financial objectives including capital equipment and consumables orders
- Develop and implement sales account strategies to meet financial objectives
- Develop clear and achievable strategies, objectives and tactical plans based on segmentation, customer needs/customer centricity and market conditions
- Negotiate contracts and prices within the limits of the sales plan and sales policy
- Collaborate seamlessly with multiple internal stakeholders to deliver total customer satisfaction through the lifecycle of the products
- Provide market information such as current trends, sales techniques, and application of our client's solutions in Europe
- Engage in continuous dialogues with the CCO as to performance, forecasts, market trends, competition, and growth opportunities in Europe
- Drive the execution of marketing, including NPI and portfolio management for products, solutions, and services in the region
- Develop and manage effective relationships with top customers, channel partners, end-users, and stakeholders
- Build a strong team, with capabilities to enable present and future success
Job Requirements
- University Degree in Business, Healthcare, Technology or related field (or equivalent knowledge/experience)
- Proven commercial leadership or sales/marketing/product management experience in the field of proteomics or genomics
- Experience in a similar role within an international company preferably in proteomics, genomics or related life sciences field
- Previous experience in a highly visible senior leadership role and ability to communicate effectively to upper management in order to make decisions
- Understanding of the proteomics workflow
- Strong oral and written communication skills, both inside the company and with external customers
- Strong Analytical & organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent program management skills
- Extremely customer centric with the ability to initiate actions to accommodate customer requirements
- Fluency in English and at least one other major European language essential
- Willingness to travel regularly across Europe
