Critical Care Unit Nurse Director
An established acute care teaching hospital located in central Connecticut is currently searching for an experienced Critical Care Unit Nurse Director to join their award-winning organization.
This facility is home to more than 350-beds and provides a variety of medical and surgical specialties. Known as a mid-sized community hospital, this organization is proud to care for more than 13,00 inpatients, 170,000 outpatients, and handles nearly 60,000 emergency visits each year. This system is built upon a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and staff that strive to always put the patient first.
The Critical Care Unit Nurse Director will join a team of highly skilled doctors and nurses that provide life-saving intensive and critical care. This organization is designated as a Level II Trauma Center and provides access to 24-hour coverage from general surgeons, specialty surgeons, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, and critical care. The Nurse Director will lead the clinical and administrative functions of the 28-bed critical care unit and will be supported by a staff of 50+ FTE s.
The Nurse Director will work in collaboration with the Executive Director and Chief Nursing Officer to lead the operations The Nurse Director will oversee the personnel and resource management, quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives, and fiscal budget of the unit. The Nurse Director must have a Bachelor s degree from an accredited program of nursing, current state nursing licensure, and at least 3-5 years of prior demonstrated leadership experience in a critical care or acute care nursing setting.
