Minimum Hourly Rate of $46.15 (please note, pay will is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and expertise. Exceptional candidates with extensive experience have the potential to earn a highly competitive salary. Final pay to be determined after the interview) *- Contract length: Permanent Placement - Start Date: ASAP (Credentialing Timeframe: 90-day average)- Guaranteed Hours: Self-scheduling in 4-week blocks, Minimum of at least 6 shifts per 4-week block.- Primary Location: Children s Medical Center Dallas and Children s Medical Center Plano (Affiliates of UTSW)- Shift Requirements: Variable days, evenings, nights, & weekends as part of a 24/7/365 coverage modelWeekend, Night, and Holiday work is shared equally among all team membersCurrent shifts include:10-hour evenings (1300-2300) Dallas Campus12-hour Days/Nights (0700-1900, 1900-0700) Dallas & Plano Campus- Float: May float between Dallas and Plano campuses - On Call/Call Back: In-house night call responsibilities are shared among all team members who have completed orientation to nights.- Required Licenses and Certs:Physician Assistant education, certification by nationally recognized certifying board; Licensure by the Texas Medical BoardBLS; PALS; NRP- Minimum Experience: Acute Care Pediatric NP/PA education; Critical Care Pediatric NP/PA education; Experience with Arterial line placement, Central Venous Line Placement, Chest Tube Placement, Endotracheal Intubation, Lumbar Puncture, PICC Placement- Unit Information: Dallas campus PICU: 4-6 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to the team at checkout as well as any new admission assigned to team.Plano campus PICU: 6-8 patients during the day; night call includes all patients assigned to team at checkout as well as any new admission assigned to the team.Duties to Provide medical care for critically ill pediatric patients with a broad spectrum of single organ and multi-organ illness. Duties include the essential functions of the Advanced Practice Professional clinician provider, consultant/mentor, educator, and researcher
