Dental Assistant – U.S. Coast Guard Base Kodiak
Location: Kodiak, Alaska
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8-hour shift between 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dental assisting support to Active-Duty beneficiaries
• Prepare instruments and treatment setups
• Assist during examinations, treatments, anesthesia administration, and suture procedures
• Provide basic oral hygiene instruction
• Prepare restorative materials and dental impressions
• Properly dispose of contaminated waste
• Load/unload radiographic film and expose bitewing, periapical, and occlusal images
• Maintain inventory of medicine and supplies
• Greet and direct patients; answer and screen telephone calls

Qualifications:

• 1 year of recent dental assisting experience
• X-ray Certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
