Overview:

The Diet Technician represents Food and Nutrition Services by assisting patients with food selections both bedside and through call center operations while adhering to the dietary prescription. The Diet Technician follows the Registered Dietitian's nutrition care plan as it is developed for the patient. The Diet Technician excels at customer service and multitasking on the phone and in person, and adequately resolves complaints in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    Customer Service and/or Food Service
  • Preferred Experience:
    2 years Healthcare Food Service experience
  • Required Education:
    High School diploma.
  • Preferred Education:
    Degree completion in nutrition or relevant health care field or completed college credit hours in food and nutrition.
  • Certifications:
    Food Handler's card within 180 days.
  • Other:
    Skills, knowledge and abilities: Ability to read and write well. Nutrition in a Nutshell within 90 days. Positive attitude, friendly smile, good personal apperance. Willingness to learn and work as part of a team. Working conditions, mental and physical requirements: Equipment used: Multi-Screen Computer, and or tablet, head set telephone
