LIBERTY SENIOR LIVING is currently seeking an experienced:
DIETARY AIDE/SERVER
JOB SUMMARY:
- Greet residents and guests warmly, creating a friendly and inviting dining atmosphere.
- Take meal orders accurately and deliver food and beverages promptly and courteously.
- Ensure residents receive the correct meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Assist residents with seating, mobility needs, and any special accommodations during meals.
- Monitor resident satisfaction and promptly address any issues or requests.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding special requests or concerns.
- Follows planned menu and receives meal orders from residents.
- Prepares food and beverages for serving based on established procedures.
- Provides food service to residents, including, loading, delivering, and serving resident meals.
- Assists with serving plates and tray carts, including loading, delivering, and serving.
- Assists in the preparation of meals, drinks, supplements, and snacks.
- Assists with the duties of other dietary staff as needed and/or assigned.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room before, during, and after meal service.
- Washes, rinses, and sanitizes glasses, dishes, silverware, service ware, etc. according to established procedures.
- Cleans and sanitizes work areas and sinks after each meal or as needed.
- Clears and cleans tables.
- Sweeps and mops floors.
- Cleans cabinets, refrigerators, freezers, walls, garbage cans, carts, pantries, and other equipment in department as needed.
- Follows posted cleaning schedules.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- In case of fire or fire drill:
- Shuts off electrical equipment.
- Closes doors.
- Report to Nurses Station for further instructions.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service quality and resident satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must wear required uniform.
- Must be able to use equipment without jeopardizing the safety of self, others or equipment.
- Must be able to use supplies economically.
- Must attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
- Demonstrates neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
- Must read, know and follow personnel, department, and Facility policies.
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or senior living is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor toward older adults.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts as needed.
