Director - Pharmacy

The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for coordinating, directing, and managing the hospital pharmacy

according to local, state, and federal guidelines, as well as hospital and TJC standards.Holds responsibility for

overall operational, technical and administrative activities. Oversee the antimicrobial stewardship program.

Oversee and facilitates the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Manages medication protocols and order

sets, ensuring evidence-based practice is followed. The Director is accountable for providing leadership, direction

and clinical support for all areas within Pharmacy services. At least five (5) years clinical experience in a hospital

environment and evidence of progressive management or supervisory experience required.

Education/Degree(s): Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. PharmD required.

License(s): Must hold a current license to practice pharmacy in the State of North Carolina. Clinical Informatics

(specific to pharmacy build) preferred.
