Director US Oncology Marketing Precision Medicine HCP Portfolio Strategy & Thoracic Lead (HYBRID)

Job Description

The US Precision Medicine Marketing Team aspires to develop & execute commercial strategies to ensure patients receive appropriate diagnostic testing to identify the right treatment for the right patient at the right time. We work in close partnership with cross functional partners including brand marketing, field teams, market research, data & analytics, and promotions to support precision medicine objectives.

We are currently recruiting for a Marketing Director, US Oncology, Precision Medicine Healthcare Provider (HCP) Portfolio Strategy & Thoracic Lead. The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing Healthcare Provider diagnostic strategies and tactics to increase testing rates across the US oncology portfolio. The successful candidate will also be the Precision Medicine lead supporting the Thoracic brand tumor franchise (Lung, Head & Neck).

The position location will be in Upper Gwynedd, PA and will report to the Associate Vice President, US Precision Medicine Center of Excellence.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Portfolio Strategy & Analytics Lead: Partner with Data, Digital, & Analytics team on key analytics projects impacting the US oncology portfolio including but not limited to:
    • Quantify headroom/opportunity spaces across biomarker indications to guide prioritization
    • Provide business input to develop data plan to drive portfolio strategy, trade-off decisions, optimize marketing mix, & guide data driven field execution efforts
    • Impact analyses to evaluate promotional & field force effectiveness
    • Lead precision medicine performance tracking & reporting and communicate to senior leadership quarterly
  • HCP Marketing Strategy Lead: Lead Healthcare Provider portfolio marketing strategy & tactical execution (across 14 biomarker guided indications) including master brand and unbranded campaign development and other pan tumor tactics; Marketing lead for digital promotion strategy, market research, L3, and IPP.
  • Precision Medicine lead for Thoracic: Develop diagnostics strategy & lead tactical execution to increase testing rates across multiple high priority tumors in support of multi-billion dollar Thoracic franchise (Lung, Head & Neck), including in-line brands & upcoming launches;



Education Minimum Requirements:

  • Required: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS)
  • Preferred: Advanced Degree (MBA, PharmD, etc.)



Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience (pharmaceutical and/or diagnostic) is required
  • Minimum of 5 years of brand marketing or related experience
  • The position will require a solid understanding of the role of biomarkers & diagnostics in precision medicine
  • Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to understand and manage key levers that drive growth and profitability
  • Demonstrated commercial leadership in marketplace assessment, development of product strategy, short- & long-range business planning
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, teamwork, analytical, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong collaboration with business partners, influencing without authority and working successfully with cross-functional teams
  • 25% Travel, including some weekend



Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Oncology marketing
  • Experience managing multiple indications/brands and/or pan tumor marketing
  • Diagnostic/Lab/Precision Medicine Marketing experience
  • Preferred: Advanced Degree (MBA, PharmD, etc.)
