ECHO SONOGRAPHER
- POSITION SUMMARY

- Cardiopulmonary Services Director
- Summary:
- Primary responsibility is to perform echo sonography procedures and testing on patients. The employee is also responsible for performing responsibilities also required of a Registered Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Technicians. Therapy and procedures performed under a medical supervisor. They are also responsible for internal and external clerical duties.
- Work Schedule:
- Must be able to work non-standard hours (i.e. "paid on call" program) and hours in excess of 40 hours per week.

- Education
- Associate's Degree (two-year college or technical school)
- Experience
- Two to four years of related experience
- Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, email and basic computer skills for other software used throughout the hospital for your area of responsibility.
- Must exhibit basic computer knowledge
- Certificates & Licenses
- Successful completion of specialized courses in Cardiac Echo is required. A valid Indiana Respiratory Care Provider license is required. NBRC Registration required. BLS certification required.
- Other Requirements
- Knowledge of cardiac echo technology, microbiology, chemistry, anatomy, and physiology, respiratory care, cardiac testing, and monitoring, and disease processes. This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands and fingers, and pushing and pulling 0-100 lbs.
