Adventist Health Portland, part of both the Adventist Health and Oregon Health and Science University health systems features of a 302-bed medical center, 34 medical clinics, and home care and hospice services in the Portland metro area. Our full-service acute care medical center provides a full range of inpatient, outpatient, emergency and diagnostic services to communities on the city's east side. Key services include cardiovascular care, emergency services, orthopedics, radiation oncology, surgery, imaging, rehabilitation, and labor and delivery. The Adventist Health clinic operations serves 80 communities through 280 clinics with an estimated 2,200,000 visits per year Located on SE Stratus Avenue in McMinnville, Oregon and housed in the Willamette Valley Medical Center, you'll be working at Northwest Regional Heart and Vascular which is staffed by board-certified cardiologists and has the clinical expertise to treat virtually any condition that can affect the heart. The Northwest Regional Heart and Vascular program is integrated with the Oregon Health and Science University to provide quaternary cardiovascular services across our campuses. Clinic Specialty and Volume Cardiology Additional Details:

Essential Functions:

  • Sets up ultrasound equipment, attaches electrodes to patient chest and equipment and documents cardiac data and measurements. Prepares patients by positioning, spreading gels, attaching electrodes to chest and equipment, verifying wave signals and recording images.
  • Interviews patients and reviews medical records to adapt sonographic techniques. Provides patient care, which includes preparing patients for sonographic imaging and providing instructions. Performs echocardiography on treadmill patients to assess heart functions.
  • Maintains equipment and inventories, restocks supplies, reviews patient schedules, sets up recording equipment and enters patient information into appropriate systems.
  • Maintains job knowledge up to date by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's): Preferred

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Currently certified, or eligible to be certified, with a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification from American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Required
  • Echocardiography (ECG) certification: Preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
