ELECTRIC LOCATOR Apprentice - 1st Class
**Position can be filled as an Apprentice, 2nd Class, 1st Class depending on qualifications and experience**
A. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under close supervision, must be able to perform locates of underground electric and fiber facilities with the use of utility maps, computer applications, various specialized locate equipment, probe rods, and/or shovel excavation. Must be able to report any discrepancies with verbal and written communications including drawing representations. Assist in working closely with contractors to ensure safe excavation processes are being followed including investigation and reporting of excavation damages.
B. EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Satisfactorily complete all necessary and mandatory training requirements associated with the position.
ELECTRIC LOCATOR 2ND CLASS
A. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under directive supervision, with latitude for planning and laying out of working details with responsibility for timely and accurate results. Must be able to perform precise locates of underground electric and fiber facilities with the use of utility maps, computer applications, various specialized locate equipment, probe rods, and/or shovel excavation. Must be able to accurately report any discrepancies with detailed verbal and written communications including precise drawing representations. Works closely with contractors to ensure safe excavation processes are being followed including investigation and reporting of excavation damages.
B. EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be available for 24 hour call out and extended hours as necessary including nights, weekends and holidays as a provider of essential services, Entergy expects its employees to be available to work additional hours, to work in alternate locations, and/or to perform additional duties in connection with storms, outages, emergencies, or other situations as deemed necessary by the company. Exempt employees may not be paid overtime associated with such duties.
