- JOB SUMMARY
- Repairs, installs and maintains all electrical systems within the hospital under the guidance of the Construction & Renovation Supervisor. Installs and maintains electrical fire safety system. Installs conduit, wiring devices and electrical controls. Works from blueprints and manufacturers specifications to install equipment and systems. Works within applicable codes and standards. Works with the understanding that some hazards exist in the day-to-day performance of duties. Some weekend work will be required.
- JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Education and/or experience: High school graduate or equivalent preferred with additional
vocational courses in industrial electricity. At least three (3) years working in industrial or
commercial electrical installation.
Knowledge: Knowledge of computers desired. Knowledge of emergency power systems
(generators, transfer switches, etc.) required. Must have knowledge of fire alarm system
installation/operation.
Skills: Must be familiar with electrical codes and standards. Must be able to read blueprints.
Abilities: Normal depth and color perception required. Good hand and finger dexterity
required.
