We're looking for a skilled Embedded Software Engineer who thrives in multidisciplinary environments and is passionate about building robust, scalable embedded systems. If you enjoy bridging low-level firmware with high-level system design-and even dabbling in front-end UI integration-this is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware for next-gen radiation treatment QA devices.
  • Develop scalable software architectures across platforms and product lines.
  • Build testing infrastructures (e.g., emulators/simulators) to streamline development and validation.
  • Collaborate on front-end UI integration to ensure seamless system interaction.
  • Drive all phases of product development-from research and prototyping to testing and support.
  • Lead technical discussions, design/code reviews, and mentor fellow engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, reliability, and regulatory standards.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a mission-driven company making a real difference in radiation therapy / cancer care.
  • Work with a collaborative, cross-functional team of innovators.
  • Enjoy a flexible hybrid work environment and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in real-time or high-reliability embedded software (C/C++).
  • Strong grasp of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Proficiency with communication protocols (SPI, I2C, Ethernet, Wi-Fi).
  • Experience with network tools like Wireshark and version control (Git).
  • Background in regulated environments with a focus on documentation and compliance.
  • Bonus: Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript for front-end UI development.
  • Extra Bonus: Prior work on medical devices within a Quality Management System (QMS).

This position will work from our Middleton, WI office (hybrid schedule when project work allows) and is not eligible for relocation expenses. We're an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran or disability status.
