EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT RN

POSITION SUMMARY

The Emergency Nurse works as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes Board Certified ED Physicians, NP's and PA's, and ED Tech's (LPN/EMT-A), with additional support from Critical Care Float RN's, Peer Recovery coaches, and tele-ED services. The Emergency Nurse provides safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients utilizing the nursing process to triage, provide initial and ongoing assessment, implement nursing interventions, and provide discharge teaching to adult and pediatric patients requiring emergent/urgent or critical care. The Emergency Department sees over 15,000 patients per year, and is the perfect spot for an Emergency Nurse looking for a fast-paced, stimulating, and rewarding work environment.

QUALIFICATION

  • EDUCATION:
    • Graduate of an accredited RN program. BSN preferred.
  • EXPERIENCE/SKILL SETS:
    • Recent Emergency Department/Critical Care Experience preferred
  • LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION(S):
    • Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Vermont
    • BLS Healthcare Provider status
    • ACLS within 3 months of hire
    • PALS within 6 months of hire
    • NRP within 6 months of hire
    • TNCC within one year of hire
    • CEN, STABLE, and ENPC preferred
