Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) Engineer

Rite-Solutions, Inc. is currently seeking an Environmental Qualification Testing (EQT) Engineer to support the Naval Undersea Warfare Center's Code 34 Imaging and Electronic Warfare (EW)/Radar Systems Acquisition Engineering Team.

Requirements:

  • Perform and witness EQT events and/or measurement tasks for Imaging/ISIS or EW/Radar AN/BLQ-10 systems and sub-components.
  • Test Plans- Provide required input for Test Plan generation and constructive feedback on Test Plan peer reviews
  • Testing Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment and install units/systems under test into the appropriate testing apparatus.
  • Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data.
  • Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review, and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to Customer to review
  • Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies.
  • Complete basic technical and EQT procedures, interact with clients as needed, assist with basic troubleshooting, interpretation, and analysis of test results.
  • Prepare Program Office Letters/Memo's that address EQT requirements for systems.
  • Track, execute and close action items that are assigned.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including communications with peers, project team members, and customers.
  • Must have the ability to collaborate with team members, multi-task, and adapt to change.
  • Maintain and grow customer relationships.


Additional Requirements:

  • Former experience performing some or all the following: shock, vibration, air-borne noise, structure-borne noise, enclosure, pressure, inclination, temperature and humidity is desirable.
  • Position requires US Citizenship, and the ability to obtain and retain a security clearance with the US Government.
  • 4 years of full-time Navy technician experience in the operation, maintenance, installation, test and/or repair of submarine Imaging, EW, or Radar equipment is desirable.
  • Travel to Manassas, VA; Syracuse, NY; Northampton, MA or other deemed test sites is required- 10% of the time.
  • Experience with performing Power and Electromagnetic Interface (EMI) testing is preferred.
  • Must be a self-driven and results-oriented individual capable of effectively working multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
