About the team:

If you like to work hard, have fun and make a difference, Environmental Service Technician is the position for you.

This position is a very important asset to the Healthcare team and the frontline to infection control. We take pride in our work, maintaining a clean and safe environment for all patients, visitors and the entire staff at Summit Pacific Medical Center.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required
  • Housekeeping experience, preferred. Hospital based experience, preferred

Job Specific Duties

  1. Cleans, disinfects and services all assigned areas. Dust, mop, wash walls, ceilings, windows, furniture, equipment, sinks, mirrors, doors, lights, toilets, shower, shelves, cupboards, vents, water fountain, garbage cans, removal of garbage, patient related garbage, soiled linen and a variety of related duties.
  2. Willing to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis, accepts supervision from a number of persons and performs tasks despite frequent interruptions. Ability to perform tasks with consideration for patients in the vicinity and always being aware of safety to patients, self and other employees. Initiative in determining what cleaning is to be done.
  3. Work under close supervision and performs standardized task quietly and in a timely manner.
  4. Position will be required to be trained at all District Facilities and may rotate between, as needed (clinics, hospital, finance office).
  5. Special project and other related duties as assigned.


This is a union position with a pay range of $17.67 to $24.66 per hour, depending on experience.
