The Board of Commissioners for Abbeville Housing Authority is seeking a qualified professional to fill a vacancy for Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Abbeville Housing Authority located in Abbeville, South Carolina. The Authority has 8 locations of low-income housing but does not participate in the voucher program. The position requires a Bachelors or Masters degree preferably in Public or Business Administration, five (5) years experience in property management, community development, public administration or closely related field, four (4) years of management at a public housing authority or similar experience, supervision of staff for at least two years, prior experience in budgeting, personnel management and public relations and an ability to travel between various sites and meeting locations as required. The successful candidate will report to a seven (7) member board and manage a staff of four (4) professionals.
