Exercise Physiologist
- JOB RELATIONSHIPS
- Works in correlation with Cardiopulmonary Services staff, Registered Nurses and Respiratory Therapists; responsible to Cardiopulmonary Services Clinical Director.
- DEFINITION OF POSITION
- The Exercise Physiologist coordinates and collaborates with the other cardiac and pulmonary rehab staff to work effectively and efficiently in assuring a multi-disciplined, multifaceted program. This person is responsible for the development of an individualized exercise program, monitoring of exercise progression of patients, and facilitating patients from graduation of phase II program into the phase IV Maintenance program as needed.
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional
- Current American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Specialist Certification
- College degree in exercise physiology or other related field
- Minimum 24 months recent and relevant experience
- BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
