Family Medicine Physician Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Iowa

A Rural Hospital is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located 40 minutes from Des Moines, Iowa.
This full-time MD-only position requires a 60-90 day credentialing process. The schedule includes clinic hours four days per week (8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.), with inpatient rounding in the mornings, typically extending the workday from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Call is highly preferred for both the clinic and emergency department, requiring 10 days per month and one weekend every three months, with mostly phone-based coverage. Patient volume averages 12-15 per day in the clinic and 8-15 per 24 hours in the ED, with a mostly adult patient population. Required certifications include BC in Family Medicine (or BE pending bylaws approval), an IA license, and DEA certification. The facility uses Epic EMR and has a support team of three physicians, three mid-levels, a podiatrist, and mental health staff.
