Job Description:
The FP&A Financial Analyst will assist with the preparation and development of monthly financial reporting and supporting analytics. This position will also consist of providing Ad Hoc financial analyses and data validation. This opportunity provides exposure to many functional departments, leading to a high level understanding of all areas of the business. The responsibilities of this role are varied, creating a very challenging, dynamic and rewarding work environment. This position reports to the Manager FP&A.
Duties:
The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:
Assist in preparation of monthly financial report, to include variance analysis, building presentation slides, and providing explanations for unusual items or trends
Prepare monthly analysis of volume, revenue and material cost, including variance analysis
Prepare weekly product mix, analyzing variances to budget and prior week
Build monthly margin analysis for customers, packages and products, including leveraging system reports, developing cost allocations, analyzing variances to budget and explaining trends over time
Assist in preparation and loading of forecast and budget files
Perform data mining for ad-hoc analyses and communicate findings to business management across all functional teams
Build dynamic Excel models and automate repetitive tasks
Develop a robust understanding of SAP BI reports and partner with IT to propose enhancements or new reports as needed
Participate in systems implementation, data validation, & process re-engineering activities
Ability to prepare clear and concise documentation
Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization
Support integration of reporting and forecasting processes for acquired entities
Skills/Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint and Word is required
Experience using Power BI is preferred
Strong finance and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Ability to summarize large amounts of information and communicate succinctly
Strong team player who is able to work across multiple functions
Results oriented with a sense of urgency, able to work under deadline pressures
Excellent time management skills with ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
Very organized and detail oriented
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written
Adaptable to change
Education and Experience:
Undergraduate in Finance or Accounting required; CPA preferred
3 years financial business experience required
Experience in forecasting and analysis preferred
Demonstrated data mining capabilities, and can develop analytical models, tools, and reports
Working Conditions:
Based in Tampa with no travel requirements
