This job location is currently located in a Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs) and/or Medically Underserved Areas/Populations (MUA/P) Shortage Designation Type.
What You Will Do
The role would primarily focus on meeting the needs in the outpatient setting with a strong referral base, large employer-health clinic and very little GI competition. Inpatient load would be minimized by highly-skilled and engaged 24/7 hospitalists who manage all the admissions and discharges.

- Call structure: Cap on call at 1:6
- Practice setting: Inpatient/Outpatient/ mix
- Universal admission service by 24/7/365 in-house BC/BE hospitalists
Large outpatient referral base - Employed position within a nonprofit health system
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
- Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate
discharge planning with case management. - Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- We are open to recent graduates as well as veteran physicians, candidate must be Board Eligible or Board Certified

What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
