WellSpan Health is seeking a skilled, team-oriented General Surgeon (BE/BC) to join our established surgical team in Chambersburg, PA. This full-time opportunity offers a balanced mix of operative and clinic time, strong physician collaboration, and access to advanced technology-including a robust robotic surgery program.
Scope of Practice - Bread & Butter General Surgery - This position supports a broad mix of general surgery, including:
Surgical Procedures
- Hernia repairs
- Cholecystectomy
- Breast tumor excision
- Abdominal and thyroid surgeries
- Hernia repairs
- Colonoscopy

Minimum Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
- Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required
Licenses:
- Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
- Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training:
- Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. Upon Hire Required and
- Completion of a Surgery residency. Upon Hire Required and
- Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of the Hospital. Upon Hire Required
