  • POSITION SUMMARY
    • Position Summary:
      • The Advanced Practice Provider (APRN-C or PA-C) works in collaboration with physicians to assess the physical needs of patients in the clinic. Occasionally the provider may work in the hospital and as first assist in the OR setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Familiar with advanced concepts, practices and procedures and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in variety of illnesses presented. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Advanced Practice Provider functions as a consultant, facilitator, educator, change agent, program designer and resource person to a defined patient population and caregivers. Advanced clinical practice distinguishes this position, supported by knowledge and competence in the areas of research, leadership, consultation, education and professional growth. The Advanced Practice Provider assumes a leadership role in strengthening collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare leaders and nurses in various settings to improve patient/family outcomes along the care continuum.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    • Minimum Education
      • Master or Doctorate of Nursing degree from an accredited advanced registered nursing program, or Bachelor of Science, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited physician assistant program
    • Minimum Experience
      • One year clinical and surgical experience preferred
    • Required Registration/License/Certification
      • Current Kansas Advanced Practice Registered Nurse APRN license, or current Kansas Physician Assistant (PA-C) license.
