Duties for This Position

Under general direction of the Grounds Keeper, ensures the hospital grounds are kept in top condition by controlling weeds, insects, pests and environmental forces affecting grounds. Continuously monitors and maintains sprinkling system ensuring lawn, plants and trees are watered properly. May assist with other maintenance duties and run errands as required. Complies with departmental policies regarding safety and attendance.

Helps ensure the safety and security of staff, patients, patrons and property of Central Valley Medical Center. Prevents unauthorized access, deters criminal activity and responds promptly and appropriately to security threats and emergencies. Provides a visible and vigilant presence to deter criminal activity.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

One year experience working with grounds and sprinkling systems preferred.

Preference given to those candidates with one year or more experience as an armed security guard or police officer.

Required Skills

Must be at least 18 years of age.
